Come celebrate with Couture Doll Shops!

Welcome to Couture Doll Shops first Runway Show! We hope you enjoy these designs. CDS is now open, and these and many other neat products are available there - be sure to visit Couture Doll Shops later - now let's enjoy the show!

First up is Claudia Green's “Purple Passion.” The drama of this outfit begins with the skirt of luxurious plum satin. It is form-fitting from the waist to the knees and ends in a long train; the ruffle is trimmed in fancy braid and sparkles with tiny glitter. The bustierre is also plum satin, and is lined in creamy-white as is the skirt. Topping it off is a fancy, sheer overblouse that features a dramatic ruffled collar, peplum and cuffs belted and trimmed in the same braid that embellishes the skirt. The delicate bead necklace finishes off the ensemble nicely!Denise Beaudin chose  to dress an Ellowyne Wilde doll in a royal purple, crushed velvet gown. The gown has a fitted bodice and a very full long skirt. The skirt is slightly longer at the back to form a train. The bodice front neckline is trimmed with a delicate black lace. A shawl of black chiffon can be worn just over the shoulders, and tops this creation off nicely. Jewelry includes a necklace of purple and black beads, and purple stud earrings. This dress is partially lined in mauve colored cotton to add shaping, and is closed at the back with metal snaps.

Formally a Portrait in Black Poppy Parker, this doll has had a complete facial repaint by Amy Nardone. She has been painted with the highest quality acrylics and sealers. Her eyes are shades of a blue gray and her shadowing is grays, browns and some deep blues. Her lips were painted crimson to complete this dramatic effect.

This stunning OOAK 1/6 scale settee from John Prewitt is upholstered with a plum shade of Silkessence fabric. The arms and body are emphasized by black lacquer wood trim accents. Also included are two lavender pillows with a cream metallic sheen. This settee is sized just right for two, or is perfect for one lady to lounge in leisure as we see here. This elegant furniture piece would be ideal for your doll's home; a perfect place for her to relax and have a glass of wine.

Tyler is wearing a satin gown of deep aubergine presented by Pat Stoughton. The fitted satin bodice has tiny velvet straps with a miniature chiffon beaded rosette. The full skirt is made up of sparkle satin in the front and iridescent satin in the back, which drapes gently at the back hem. The waist is encircled with matching velvet ribbon and adorned with a miniature chiffon beaded rosette.

Here on the runway is a Tonner Doll Repaint who started life as a Mei Li doll. Her face paint was completely removed and repainted by Shannon Craven to reveal a new personality - Nanci Lee. Nanci has lavender blue eyes and pouty, deep magenta lips. Her eyeshadow is done in various shades of purple complimenting her stunning eyes, metallic purple dress, and feathery shrug. Her fingers and toes were painted to compliment her full lips, and her face and collarbone were shaded for realism.

From the Wyckedry Model Agency operated by Wanda Lee Kinnie is Sahara wearing Purple Peacock. The skirt is made from duponi silk that has been hand ruched and adorned with glass beads to compliment her blouse. Her top is lace that was designed into a glamorous OOAK piece. Both pieces are removable so that all your dolls can fight over this beautiful ensemble. In her hands she carries an arrangement of lavender roses that have a silver hue.

Silkstone Honey is looking good in this design from Tula O'Reilly. This evening gown cascades down the runway in lush, brilliant shades of pure amethyst silk. This timeless fashion silhouette echoes an early Hollywood glamour with a finely tailored empire mermaid gown that opens to a beautiful flare. The asymmetrical neckline draws attention to the delicate sequined lace bodice festooned with a silk chiffon rosette. A matching clutch and glittering rhinestone jewelry complete this elegantly sophisticated ensemble.

Mei Li walks the Red Carpet wearing an exquisite Christine Loff strapless gown of purple charmeuse, with an overlay of tulle featuring embroidered lavender flowers. She wears long cream gloves and has a cream chiffon shawl for a chilly evening. To complete the outfit, Mei Li has a beaded bracelet with many strands of purple beads and shoulder-length beaded earings in purple and lavender.

Vintage elegance highlights this silk dupioni sheath gown by Elisa Cetera. It features delicate Chantilly lace, Swarovski crystals and dramatic bow details.

The idea for this gown was drawn from the Art Deco era, but was made to be more modern and edgy. Sherri Agee made this vision of cream charmeuse that has gold accents. The skirt of the gown is a wavy purple sinamay-like fabric that creates a bubble skirt.  It has an asymmetrical hemline falling longer in the back with a short train. The hemline features a purposely frayed edge, giving it a modern flare. Trim throughout is made of deep royal purple crushed velvet and Swarovski rhinestone components. Jewelry is made from 24k gold plated size 10/0 Charlottes & 4mm purple Swarovski crystals. The necklace and bracelet are both hand woven.

As our lovely Evangeline walks down the Red Carpet, she wears a stunning Pauline Lyngard one piece dress of tattered lavender chiffon over black satin. The dress ends slightly above the ankle to focus on her custom made purple and black leather sandals.

Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but dolls adore rhinestones. Antoinette is strutting her stuff in a showgirl style ensemble completely made of her "jewels" of choice. Complimenting the ensemble is more jewelry from the talented Marcia Friend.

Ending our presentation today is our Show Stopper -- Passion, a confection of layered ruffles in purple, pink and brown ombre tulle fashioned by Lori Lyon.  It simply sparkles with tiny jewels. The top is a fitted corset bodice in iridescent purple cross dyed silk taffeta that is boned with an eyelet lace-up back. Silver strapped sandals with crystal heels and a silver bowed clutch complete this red carpet look modeled by Numina Grey

For our final walk-on, we ask you to view our models in the video below; just push play!  Note they are accompanied by the musical stylings of Clandestine with their song Breton Tunes.   Thanks for coming!
